Should i retake a 780 in Chemistry?

Hi guys, i'm really interested in studying chemical engineering at college, and i got a 780 in chem, so do you all think i should retake and aim for a 800? Will it matter?

trollll…ll.lll.l NO.

the admissions officer will not be like…oOoo, this guy has a 780 and this guy a 800, we must pick the 800 first. There is hardly any difference.

No. Two multiple choice questions will not make that much of a difference in an application. That said, were you to apply for a spot in a very selective program, such as Brown’s PLME, you might. I would, however, advise against it.

Hey if it’s not an 800, retake!

But seriously, colleges (or at least the UC system) assign points to subject test scores, and a 750 and an 800 (and anything in between) receive the same number of points. So it doesn’t really make a difference.

750+…don’t retake.

No need to retake.

I sorely wanted to retake my Math II score (as it was the only one of my four SATIIs that I didn’t get an 800 on) but I was glad I resisted.
