but 600 W (8 essay)</p>
<p>I am an international student applying to top tier schools (Ivies and other)
Is it worth retaking because of the writing score ?</p>

<p>You don’t even required to take TOEFL for some (may be most) universities!!!</p>
<p>Yes - you could easily raise your score at least by 100 points - it does matter if you have 2070, or 2170. Good luck.</p>
