Should I rush?

I want to be in a sorority. I also want to be a pre-med student when I go to college. I like to party, but I also do well in school. I have also heard being in a sorority helps you get jobs. What should I do?

…

I’ve been looking into that too and I’ve been worried about the time commitment. Some schools have a Greek preview in the spring where you can go visit sororities and talk to the people in them, then you could ask what they do the time commitment how they help you with jobs etc, that may help you make your decision if your school has that

ALWAYS RUSH

no one here, except maybe if they go to your school, can tell you whether or not to actually join, but always rush - you have nothing to lose.

Just do it!

I’ll be double majoring in architecture and spanish next year as well as partaking in the honors college, but I’m still going to rush. Being in a sorority is a significant time commitment, but it’s what you make of it. Some girls dedicate their lives to their chapters, others do the bare minimum. They also usually have mandatory study hours, as high GPAs are critical for a sorority’s image. Sororities are also great for networking, meeting people, and possibly securing internships or jobs.

Besides, rush is very non-committal. If you go through the whole process and decide it isn’t your thing, you don’t have to accept a bid. You’ll never know if you don’t try!
