I am a junior and I am currently taking AP Physics at school (it combines 1 and 2) as well as AP Calculus BC. I did not do so well last semester but I would say that it was mostly due to my laziness and the pressure of everything that was going on.
I am definitely taking AP Physics 1/2 tests and I want to take the AP Physics C tests, but I am not sure if that will be too much to handle. I really like physics and I am thinking about majoring in aeronautical engineering and possibly minoring in English in college.
Thank you for your help. Have a great day!
There’s really no point in self-studying.
Also, sick PJ reference.
AP physics C is a whole other kettle of fish from Physics 1/2. If you like Physics, take Physics C next year.
Be aware it’s very difficult to combine engineering with any minor. If you want a tech-field that allows for minors, look into CS.
What exactly are you talking about here? You are considering taking the Physics C exams this year, after 6 weeks of self-study? I think you don’t appreciate how much harder real physics is than those easy algebra-based physics classes that require very little actual problem solving skills. So forget about that. If you work hard at it, you might be able to do it over the summer and next year. But the pressure will be more next year and Physics C is tough. I don’t have a lot of optimism for this project if you aren’t doing that well in the easier physics classes and calc.
My daughter actually self-studied physics C mechanics because her school didn’t offer it. But she didn’t find anything difficult about Physics B. And she thought Physics C was hard.
lol no. Focus on your current classes and take calculus based physics in college
Thanks for the replies and reality check!
