Should I send my SAT to my reach schools?

I have a one-time sat score of 1280, and a super score of 1310. (RW: 720 M: 590) this is below the average scores at BU, NYU, and BC (all have their lower end of scores at around 1350). I’m worried that if I apply test-optional, they will assume I did worse than 1310. I feel like my score will add to my overall application profile, but I don’t know if admissions will see it the same way.

No, the scores are not going to be viewed positively. Unless you are hooked in some way, do not send them.

I would not send standardized test scores if they are not required and are below the average for the college.

No. Don’t send them to your reach schools. I would suggest you only send them where these scores are in the top 25% for the college.

I understand your fear but if you send, you likely don’t get in. If you don’t, we dont kniw how it will be seen but we do know that they can only use what you show them and we know, at least last year, a high % of kids were admired TO which is why in part you see such outrageous scores at a school like BU.
