Should I stay on the waitlist?

Basically, I don’t have much of a chance. My stats are low (31 ACT, 3.8 UW GPA) and I wouldn’t be able to afford it anyway. I really only applied to see if I’d get in, and I still really want to know, but I don’t want to take someone else’s place only to decline. Should I stay on the waitlist to see if I get in? Or not?

I know that vandy has a pretty generous need based aid program. did you do a npc?

And as for staying or the waitlist or not, it really doesn’t hurt for you to keep your spot, unless you think you’d be devastated if they decline you.

You should stay on. Vanderbilt gives tons of money to families who do not qualify for aid on the FAFSA. Don’t give up. My daughter was on the wait list for the class of 2020. She’s about to start her senior year as a VU student at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Do not give up.
