Should I still use the retrieval tool?

<p>We filed the FAFSA early in January for D who's an incoming freshman. At that time, we could not use the retrieval tool but had to submit FAFSA to meet an early deadline. We've already received our FA packages for several of the schools.</p>

<p>Should I still go back and use the retrieval tool in case we get verified? Or should I just leave it alone? Or is it now impossible at this point to even do that? Sorry if the question sounds stupid.</p>

<p>As you saying you indicated “will file” on your FAFSA and then used estimations for FAFSA information? If so, you should definitely update your FAFSA with your correct up-to-date information. As far as I know, schools will not even disburse aid until you have updated it. You’ve only received a preliminary FA package; it will be updated when you finalize FAFSA.</p>
