Should I submit my 1410 SAT score?

I took the august SAT and got a 1410 (630 R&W - 780 math). I am planning on applying to UCLA, UC berkeley, USC, notre dame, northwestern, umich, michigan st boston college, illinois uc and stanford.
Im wondering if it’s a good idea or not to submit my score for all these test optional schools.

What major will you be applying to (where that’s required)?

I don’t really see a safety school…MSU could possibly be highly likely, depending on your GPA and course rigor. Do you have an affordable safety school on the list?

What state do you live in?

either engineering or computer science.
and yes michigan state and maryland are my safety schools
i live in michigan.

I’m not sure Maryland (UMD) would be safety school since you are OOS.

This has already been answered. Don’t you have another thread on this?? Michigan State evey year is becoming harder to get into but being instate helps. If your GPA is high that should not be a problem but I would have another safety. Maybe Wayne State (they tend to give merit), or Oakland University if need for instate.

Any OOS is probably not a safety. If your GPA is high look at Iowa State and University of Iowa. Usually easy to get into with merit. Apply today and if you meet the 245 threshold, you can be accepted by next week with merit. Keep in mind. It’s actually a really good school and not so easy. Great campuses also.

guys, If all goes bad and i don’t get into any of those schools, I plan on applying to Oakland u and gvsu because their deadlines aren’t until august of next year so yes i have a plan lol. I just dont want to waste money applying to them if i dont have to.

what’s your intended major? if it’s in math or science, submit the SAT! if it’s in reading or writing, i would most likely say no, but it’s up to you

yes i plan on majoring in computer science or mechanical engineering.

The University of California system is funded by California tax payers, so as an out-of-state student, you would be responsible for $65K per year. There is no financial aid for non residents.

Oh and computer science and most engineering majors are impacted at the UC’s, which means there are too many people applying to these majors and not enough spaces. This means the competition to get in is fierce.

USC is a private university, and is very expensive. There is intensive competition for scholarship funds. Can your parents afford over $70,000 a year in tuition and fees?

Where did you get this list of schools? Someone has to pay for the cost at these universities. Are your parents prepared to pay these kinds of fees?

Stanford is not happening. You have to have some kind of hook. By hook I mean the student is expected to be: an Olympic caliber athlete, nationally or well-known by actions, top grades, top scores, legacy, award-winning artists, large donor, or current celebrity.

A safety is a school where you can easily be admitted, that is affordable, and that you would be happy to attend.
If you’re not a resident of Maryland this would not be considered a safety school.
