Should I take an AP/Honors online in Freshman year?

We only have two honors courses in Freshman, being Honors Earth Science and Honors Geo/Alg2
My teacher only put in like 10 students int the Honors ES, while the others put like 1/2 of theirs into it :l
not to mention Math is not my strong suit, so I will only do regular Geo/Alg 2 (it goes pretty fast on the regular level to cover both)

That said, it does not seem good at all that I am not doing any AP or Honors classes

Should I do some online, or does Freshman year classes not matter as much?

If that’s all your school offers, from a college admissions perspective, I don’t think you’d be really penalized, although you should aim to take harder classes next year.

However, if you want to challenge yourself or gain a deeper understanding of the material, you could take some AP classes online (Aventa is the option I’m most familiar with, although 1.0 credit is about $700, so it’s not cheap), or take some classes at a local community college/university.

Do some online

If you live in Florida, you can take AP/Honors classes on Florida Virtual School for free.

Its not only available to Florida, Thats for the FVS that is but Out-Of-State has a “tuition” of $400/semester…

Accidentally Double Post. Sorry
