Hello, I am completely new to this forum so if I placed this question in the wrong place or am not asking the question correctly sorry about that.
I started off my junior year taking AP Biology but I was failing. I got a 67 on the first test we took (class average was a 70) and a 50 on the second test (AP Bio is known to be really hard at my school). After two tests my confidence was ruined and I decided to drop for multiple reasons. First, I wanted to have more time to spend on SAT prep and other classes because I wanted to have a boost in my GPA (ap bio was taking up most of my time). Second, I decided to take a regular bio class instead becasue I figured that taking ap bio senior would be easier because I would have a bio foundation. Third, I would have more time senior year because I would have less classes than junior year and the SAT out of the way. Although I was failing, I EXCELLED in class discussion and quizzes and understood the material probably more than anyone in the class. I just found the test questions to be very difficult and no matter how much I studied or knew the material I just couldn’t do well on tests. Just so you guys know I am breezing by regular bio (we don’t have Honors bio in my school) with an A and without much effort and regular chem was the same. We are starting to make classes for senior year and I have no idea if I should give AP bio another chance.
Just so you guys know I plan to go into pre dent as a psych major (or bio).
My senior year class schedule would be:
- AP Calculus AB
- AP Biology
- Latin
- English (possibly AP English lit)
- US Government
