I've never studied for it and don't plan to, but my friends have told me the English section is ridiculously easy. The could give me a boost because I got a 670 on critical reading without studying. With that said, how much easier do you think the English section is from critical reading and could it help my scores?

If standardized tests were workouts, then the ACT would be prolonged aerobics, and SAT would high intensity interval training. ACT is more about how long you can stick with it without cracking, and SAT is about ups and downs of various sections. ACT is easier, but one mistake will break you. English is nothing compared to CR, I got a 35 but a 720 on SAT. I could help, but that doesn’t mean you don’t study.

You should most definitely take both the SAT and ACT.
