Should I take the chance?

OK, great… get those apps in!!!

Roberts Wesleyan (work on your spelling!) is a reputable small college in Rochester, New York that is offering free room for the upcoming school year. Cornell University CALS takes a fair number of transfer students. However, many of the transfers are students who are denied admission as freshman but encouraged to attend a CC or SUNY for 1-2 years and then be assured or likely to achieve transfer status. There is not a lot of financial aid from Roberts Wesleyan that I am aware of from visiting.

Ah thanks for the useful information @Karencat ! And it was a typo :stuck_out_tongue: Perhaps it may be difficult to afford Roberts Wesleyan as well. Might as well take student loans since I’m going to be in debt anyways :P. Again, thank you all!

@Hamlin : Have you decided which College you will attend come Fall 2015? Do you live in Manhattan? Given your health concerns, do you think it is wise to go to a school where you will have to dorm? BTW, given you medical science (what specifically are you looking at here) objectives, have you given any thought to other CUNY 4-year institutions, such as Hunter, CCNY or Brooklyn College? I think there are good affordable options within NYC that can offer a quality education at an affordable price point. Keep an open mind going forward… you might be pleasantly surprised in the long run!

@Hamlin Yes, I’m also hoping that you’ve had some success finding a spot. I’m familiar with all 3 of the SUNY schools and I think they would present some outstanding opportunities for you.

@Psata82 I do not live in Manhattan, but I can commute. I’ve considered the option but I don’t think I get sick once a week, maybe 2-3x as often as another person (given my immune system is just as weak). As for medical objectives, my final goal is to graduate as a Surgeon, possibly Neuro or Transplant (Ambivalent still). As for Undergraduate degree, I’m more lenient towards Biochemistry or double majoring in Biology and Chemistry. I have applied to the CUNY’s you listed, however, I’m still waiting on their decisions, denied to a few but I appealed. And yeah, I’m attempting to  Thanks for the help!

@MidwestDad3 Thank you very much! I hope you’re right about that one

@Hamlin Did you get in anywhere?

@Madison85 So far, nothing. Brockport rejected me, Fredonia’s EOP program had expired so I was required to submit an email for Regular Decision, still have yet to hear a thing from all other Universities.
