Should my d take AP Calc BC junior year?

It’s good that your son had a good teacher and positive experience. However, I don’t make a blanket statement based on my experience. I learned it from various sources. You can find it easily by googling. Here is an example on CC:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/799705-ap-calculus-bc-ab-too-easy.html

I am junior.
I took AP Calc BC with AP Chem last year with no problem. Not much study. I got A’s and 5’s on both tests.
This year I am taking AP Phys. C and AP Lang., which are very easy, but APUSH is killing me. It is so much reading and memorization.
APUSH takes me 4 hours a day and all weekends, compare to AP Phys which takes me only 20 min a day.
Good Luck with APUSH.

^My kids certainly didn’t spend that kind of time on APUSH. Possibly an hour a day, probably less. (They both got 5s so I assume the teacher covered most of the material.)

My daughter spent 2-3 hours a night on APUSH in her sophomore year. She routinely gets As in math and science, but struggled with with APUSH. History is just not her thing.

pstauff–your d sounds like mine. That said, she loves APUSH–the teacher is extraordinary. And she’s really learning how to write.
