Thanks for the well wishes ya’ll. I can’t believe we all got in, and that we found out so early! (We applied RD). I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my brothers (I’m pretty much decided on Georgetown SFS).

@qwertyemily I dunno… we all got a letter saying "Congratulations! You have been admitted to the first year class entering Vanderbilt university in the fall of 2017. (Yadada selected from most competitive pool in history)… although we will mail your official admissions packet by April 1st, we are notifiying you now to invite you to attend our Mosaic multicultural program, etc, etc.

We all got in at Vandy, which is amazing and super great, and I’ve gotten into Uchicago and Georgetown SFS so far. But who knows, a full ride at OSU might tempt us to go there lol.

Is financial aid sufficient for the four of you?
I am so glad all four of you got in. Just imagine if only three of you had, poor fourth brother! I think you should all go! How cool would that be?!
@suzyyq The aid I got at Georgetown was good, but I think I’m doing rotc there, and they said I could keep some of the aid (approx $3,000) on top of the full tuition scholarship. So in short, yes! @MYOS1634 We don’t know about the aid at Vandy yet.
One nice thing about Vandy is that they guarantee to meet your financial need without loans. You can still take them to pay the family portion, but loans are not included in the offer.
Two of us won the full ride Morrill Distinction award at OSU!! (now to decide if Georgetown SFS/Vandy/ the Ivies is worth turning down a full ride)

In my opinion, SFS is worth turning down a full ride, for that field of study.
Not sure for the other brother. Stem is flatter than IR.
It depends on how much GW SFS/Vandy/Ivys will cost you.
