@suzyQ7 For me at least, 40k for all four years at Georgetown SFS @suzyQ7
As in ~40k total over the course of 4 years, not 40k each year. So essentially 12k-13k per year @suzyQ7
SFS for 12-13k a year, for someone who wants to work in IR, is too good to pass up. The opportunities, contacts, and preparation simply can’t compare to any flagship. It’s the best value if you look at your chosen field and ROI.
Stem is different. So for the brother with the Morrill and admission to his field of study, the parameters are different from yours. That brother 's ROI is likely similar regardless of university chosen, the main difference would be in experience but that would depend on personality. For instance, tOSU would offer a superior experience to a football fan.
I love free, but agree with above.
If you can do Georgetown for 10k a year then do it!!
I agree 100% with @MYOS1634 . IR at Georgetown is exceptional and the opportunities will far surprise Ohio. For your bros, depends on major.
Eldest graduated SFS last May. Loved her 4 years on the hill.
so much positivity in this thread! good luck!
if you all decide to go to OSU, trust me, you won’t be the quadruplets there!! giant campus
Still loving this thread. I’ve been rooting for Georgetown since you were accepted and hoping it would be affordable because it just seems like a perfect fit for your chosen field, but you ALL have such amazing opportunities that I understand it would be hard to choose.
I’m giving you all a nickname of The Golden Foursome.
I found out today that I’ve been selected as a finalist for Vanderbilt’s Carell Scholarship (full tuition and fees)!
I also found out a little over a week ago that I’ve been selected as a Ron Brown semifinalist, so I’m eager to hear back from them as well.
We’ll be keeping you guys updated with future news. Thanks for your support!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Congrats, @Mr. Me ! I can’t remember, was Vanderbilt your top choice for what you wanted to major in?
Thanks for keeping us posted, what a great, positive thread.
Thank you!
@suzyQ7, I’m hoping to enter a career in artificial intelligence and/or human-computer interaction, and Stanford’s Symbolic Systems major seems to have everything I’m looking for! So I’d say that Stanford is definitely my top choice school (keeping my fingers crossed until admissions decisions come out!). Berkeley is up there as well. But so far, I’ve only visited (and been accepted to) Vanderbilt, and I will say that I absolutely loved the campus environment. Very friendly and welcoming!
Just got a call from Vandy—I’ve been awarded the Carrell Scholarship!
Awesome! So many great choices. Congrats!
Any updates on the two brothers we haven’t heard from on this thread?
Congrats to all you have both achieved so far!
Thank you!
Nothing major yet, @Lindagaf, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted
Congratulations to all of you. Delighted that you will have so many excellent options to choose from!
It can be easier on your parents if you all went to same college. They can buy or rent one apartment for you instead of paying for 4 dorms and instead of flying 4 of you home every time, two of them can visit you. If you need car, one would suffice. I see a lot of savings and of course that financial aid office would be quite sympathetic to your parents. Well, of course all four of you getting full rides would be their dream come true for them.
@SugarlessCandy It looks like these brothers will be getting full rides
