Those who said they think Bush was a good President: Do you enjoy failed imperial ventures that wasted the lives of several thousand brave Americans? If you agree with an insane proposition like that, then, yes, feel free to say you think Bush is a good President. But don’t say that you think he is unless you have an appreciation of his agenda in its entirety.

There’s no debate in the mainstream scientific community as to whether evolution is valid or not.

obama has done a great job making america a near socialist state.
at least bush didn’t bring terrorists into the country either.

Good grief. You all sound crazy.

America has been nearly socialist for DECADES. Obama has nothing to do with it except expanding the embyronic welfare state as it’s existed since the early 20th century. Also, terrorism is something of subjective definition, but I fail to see how Obama has encouraged terrorists to come to this country.

For the record, I’m a reactionary conservative who suffers from disillusionment with the whole system.

Adam, you obviously either are a bad reader or just dont know what the heck youre talking about. She spent 15 minutes in class today complaining about Bush, then she started saying Reagan was a horrible president who wanted us to do drugs. She got ****ed at me, and started yelling at me in front of the whole class because I said i didnt think that our government played a role in the assassination of JFK. She thinks that out government knows where Osama is and that we want him alive, she told us that he has kidney problems and that all kidney machines have chips in them so its IMPOSSIBLE for us not to know where he is because his machine would be in the database, she criticized all of the BUSH family as well as our CIA for ruining the world. Please dont you dare tell me shes not a liberal extremist. This is only the tip of the iceberg, she also has theories of how our cia will assasinate obama if he gets universal healthcare done, which i DONT want, and another fact proving shes liberal by the way.

I have had liberal profs who we didn’t find out were liberal until the end of the semester where they openly talked about their beliefs when we had nothing to do before finals. These were classes about genocide and abortion, humanitarian aid, etc. They always taught impartially in a kind of ‘matter of fact’ way and used novels/text to show different viewpoints but did not openly say what their own were and despite the fact that they were liberal, they did not hold it against anyone when grading our opinions.

But then again I am in Austin. There are a lot of liberals here.

David your teacher sounds nuts. But it’s kinda funny. LOL.

u have no idea… and btw if u think austin is bad, lol im in NEW YORK! im a minority here in my political beliefs, and im not even a very strict conservative, just moderate normal person who leans right and has some sense

Since the government has done such a great job ruining Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, we might as well let them ruin general healthcare too.

First let’s start off with this:

That’s exactly me, a very libertarian, conservative Republican, is going to college at Madison. The school went like what, 95% for Obama last November?

The thing with liberals is they’re all shut up in their little enclaves where nine out of ten citizens are dems, and the other one is a commie. (Manhatten, San Fran, Boston, DC, Madison, Austin, Ann Arbor, Seattle, Portland etc) All they know is being liberal and all the people they know are liberals. They have met very “real life Republicans” and think all conservatives are these bible thumping, gun clinging rednecks off in the boonies. They really have no understanding at all of conserative principles.

Republicans though, have to deal with liberal propoganda every day on the TV, in school, online, in the newspapers, etc, and are much more aware off the Democratic arguments.

No, Obama wants to steal other peoples money and give it too me; my family only makes 65K a year.

But really, I didn’t say Bush was a good president, he was not. He was just better than Obama.

Bush got us strangled up in two wars and wasted billions and billions of dollars overseas. Obama is continuing these.

Bush got us into this giant Medicare/Medicaid (whatever it was called) boondoggle that we have no way to pay for. OBama is not only expanding these, he is trying to push through a government controlled healthcare program that is four times more costly and four times worse, and we have no way too pay for.

Bush passed the money consuming No-Child-Left-Behind-Act which has screwed up public schools.

Obama passed an 800billion dollar “Stimulus” Plan that has screwed up our economy. According to Obama, we needed to the stimulus to prevent our country from reaching 8.8% unemployment. So we passed it and now unemployment is at 9.4% and rising.

Obama is also going to try and pass Cap & Trade. Great! Now every company that has somehow managed to survive this recession is going to be hit with higher energy costs and more regulation! Fantastic - that’ll teach those evil corporations that create private setor jobs!

Really, Obama is no different than Bush. He justs does every bad thing to a higher degree.

The social engineering experiments of LBJ, Bush, and Obama have destroyed our country.

And no, conservatives aren’t smart. I only got a 35 on the ACT and 5’s on six different AP’s. Stupid me.

I love my liberal, bush bashing professors. I agree with them that you should question everything regardless of how uncomfortable it may make you. It’s not all candy and rainbows out there honey and it sounds to me like you just aren’t ready to face reality.

I hate republicans.

Healthcare bores me you guys should talk about foreign policy instead. :D

Well that explains it. I always thought all the crazies migrated to NY. I don’t think Austin is bad, I love it. Some liberals kinda scare me (and i consider myself liberal) but overall it’s all good. I’d kill to live in NY but cost of living vs Austin is insane.

woaw dude hold on a second, your name is nate…and you’re calling me honey?!

The smarter one is, the more liberal he or she is likely to be.

If you got a high school diploma, work a minimum wage job, and cling to religion, while cursing immigrants, I’d understand why you think the way you do.

Republicans ftw!

What an ignorant thing to say Cboe, all the illegals are jamming our prisons and costing us money, yet my history teacher only speaks out about the GOOD things about illegal immigration. There is bias everwhere, my math and spanish teacher last year were both hard core republicans however their viewpoints were never forced upon us in a lecture. It just depends upon the person and their personality, a professor might be a radical liberal and struggle to keep his opinion out of the subject manner.

I can’t deal with Republicans. It’s impossible to argue with somone who uses sweeping generalizations and stereotypes as the basis of a factual argument.

In other words Rush limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Bill O’reilly, and the rest of the Faux News Network better known as FOX.

I can’t sand liberals, and loons like Al Franken, Keith Olbermen, the Kos Kiddies, Rachel Maddow, that Garufalo Clown, and the rest of them.

You can’t agrue with them without being called an uneducated, racist, bigot, uncompassionate, ill-informed hick. And they have absolutley no grasp of the concepts of debt or inflation or running out of money.

If you really want to feel discriminated against and looked down upon - try wearing a Bush 2004 t-shirt while walking down Fisherman’s Wharf in San Fran. One of the funnest (and scariest) twenty minutes of my life!

I have a couple classes where we do failure analysis, like how much force you can put on a beam before it breaks. It’ll break at X lbs whether Obama or Bush is President.

i would love a bush 2004 t shirt. im a republican, but im not hardcore conservative.

It has certainly done a lot of damage in parts of the world.
