<p>Hm…my reg number was in the high 3k’s if that means anything? Does it go by registration order or just assigning a number? According to previous reports, almost 1/3 of the people who register don’t actually submit reports.</p>

<p>registration number doesn’t mean a thing. I registered in January and it was like 3000. btw, the judging rubric only applies to regional finalist.</p>

No - they do not contact anyone before October 22th.</p>
<p>And I got semi-finalist last year.
The project itself has increased 2.5x in terms of raw amount of data.
The paper itself has been left relatively unchanged. Of course, pages and sections were deleted and others inserted, but the overall core has received little modification.
I had to leave all of my data from last year out to make room for new data or the paper would have exceeded the page limit.</p>

<p>regarding different sections, if you posted your project as miscellaneous (and then into a very specific category, ie., epidemiology), how does that work out? do they judge all the miscellaneous together? or do they put the different created categories together?</p>
