Significance of Community College GPA for Business School

Hello everyone,

It has been tough to find solid information about the importance of community college GPA when applying to an MBA program. My community college GPA was around a 2.85. I started as an engineering major and truly hated it, my lack of care and focus at the time drove my grades down (not making any excuses...lol). Switched to business admin (finance) and it ended up being my true calling. My San Francisco State University GPA is standing at a 3.93. I wanted to apply to an elite business school and I was wondering if my community college GPA will come back to haunt me. I understand the significance of the GMAT/GRE and work experience and other extra curricular activities, but I am still fuzzy on the significance of CC GPA. Thanks for your time.
