Simon Fraser University Software Systems Bachelor's Worth Considering?

Hello. I’m an upstate NYer who wants to maybe study abroad (preferably in the Netherlands, UK or Canada) for a Bachelor’s, and one Canadian program that has caught my eye is the SFU-Surrey BSc in Software Systems. Is it a good program? I really like for 3 reasons:

  1. It isn't too theoretical, focusing on coding more than theory (I know that a lot of CS programs in the states are like this too).
  2. It's near Vancouver! I really like it there, and I even get to study in a different country.
  3. It is one of the very few unis in Canada that is regionally accredited by the U.S CHEA. I believe that this holds some value when looking for an American job, because many employers seem to want a regionally accredited degree (I've looked at Indeed, and MANY, if not all, CS related jobs want a regionally accredited degree. Not so much ABET for CS though. Is this true in most parts of the US, or do they not care about the accreditation a degree has as long as its a good degree? I'm not too interested in working in BC/CA after graduation).

Is SFU for SoSy worth it? Everything (including the tuition) seems great, and I wouldn’t be considering it if it wasn’t regionally accredited.

PS, I was also considering UofT Engineering Science, which is also an excellent program. But mainly, will the regional accreditation be of good value in looking for an American job, or will they just think of it as an average international degree like that of Mexico or someplace else? THX.

Simon Fraser University is very well ranked for computer science.

I don’t know anything about their Surrey campus.

Burnaby’s the main campus (where most subjects are mainly taught). Vancouver and Surrey are satellite campuses of SFU (same uni though). Most of SoSY is taught at Surrey though.

Also, will I find employment (w/o struggle) in America after a Software degree from SFU? Thanks.
