Can someone tell me how long an LSAT score is 'good for'? I should know this but have heard that it has changed recently. I cannot seem to find a definite answer, though, and so thought I'd ask here. If someone writes the LSAT now in 2006, how long are they able use that score when applying to law schools? Is there a point at which they'd have to rewrite the test? Thank you!

I'm almost positive the score is good for 5 years. If you go to LSAC.org there should be a link where you can confirm this

LSAC reports your LSAT scores for five years, however, some law schools want more recent scores or expressly will accept LSAT scores that are no more than three years old. For example, Harvard Law recommends that you take the LSAT in the year immediately prior to when you apply.

Thank you both!

Sally, I think that is what was confusing the individual who asked me the question. Different schools have different requirements/recommendations re: timing. Many thanks.
