SIMR 2013 Stanford Inst. of Med. Summer Research Program

Out of state:
Alpha2014 (guy)
xojeannee (girl if you couldn’t tell from my middle school username lol)
StudiousMaximus (FTFY)
mijiking
whisper12(guy)

Are all of you planning on majoring somewhere in the medical field?

Probably, because my options are limited by the fact that I’m trashy at everything else :stuck_out_tongue: Bio is fun though, so it’s all good.

Well I got mail from Rockefeller. Admission process is so weird these days… Lol

Hey everyone! Very anxious about hearing the decisions. Is it true that they are accepting 70-75 students this year?

estiray@ I believe so because it is said in the program description of SIMR homepage. Are you from east coast and a girl candidate or boy candidate?

@pineapple3

Whaaat… if that guy has connections already he should just get a research spot separately from SIMR and leave that spot open for us xD
Do you live in/near Palo Alto?

Last year, at least three people from my school got into SIMR. I don’t think they’ll limit it to one per school this year (or at least, I really hope not!)

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has heard anything yet. I know they usually call the accepted participants before the day they email everyone.

No, I haven’t heard anything. If they do call, they’ll call tomorrow. Good luck everyone!!! <3

I am a girl applying from Tennessee. Any other Tennesseans?

I think they only call beforehand if you live in the area, or at least that was the impression I got from stalking last year’s thread. But yeah, if anyone gets a call, a heads up would be nice

did anyone else do a really unconventional essay because i feel like i’ve put my balls on a frying pan with one of mine

8 OSS, I can do this! Accepted to Rockefeller (<8) and I think I can pull Stanford off D:<

Idk why you’re acting mean to me. I’m actually not cocky in real life. Sorry if I sound like one over College Confidential. Also, I found housing on campus so I don’t think I would need to split anymore. The information can still be used for other out of state applicants. Meanwhile, Lacrossegirl123 did you apply to SIMR?

Alpha2014@ Would you share how you found housing on campus? It would be beneficial to other people as well. Thanks

What time?

Okay, I’m assuming that they wouldn’t call you beforehand to reject you so CONGRATULATIONS!

can we all stop trolling eachother and be frands pls bless

@mijiking, after results I will post

lacrossegirl123@ You got a call and accepted? Are you local or out of state?

I feel like she’s a ■■■■■^
