UCSD peeps can be Tritons...I mean, that's a God!!!

Banana Slugs are awesome, made famous by John Travolta's character's shirt in Pulp Fiction. I've always wanted to get one of those shirts and I will the next time I go to NorCal.

Just a sweatshirt which I ordered the day I sent in my SIR.

And as a person from Santa Cruz, the banana slug does fit UCSC pretty well. They don't like competition. Although one of my football coaches went there and that guy is awesome. But I'm pretty sure he went there for the location and for the partying, cause he's definately got the competitive edge.

And yeah that was great in Pulp Fiction when John Travolta had to wear that UCSC shirt.

I haven't bought anything yet, but I have officially named my huge stuffed bear BRUIN :D

I named my stuffed rabbit Flopsy.

I forgot to mention that I also bought a license plate frame and a hoodie from Anderson. I also bought a UCLA mini helmet for my office windowsill as well as UCLA Starting Lineup figures of Bill Walton, Lew Alcindor, and Troy Aikman that I have in my office as well.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, your school owns a color."

A $96,000 color, Ari. ;)

But I guess it's better than being forced to share your primary one with Stanford. Cardinal Schmardinal. Scarlet's a better red anywho.

Cardinal is a tree, not a color, in the case of Stanford.

No, Cardinal refers to the primary color of its sports teams and the official color of the school. Originally, Stanford teams were the Indians but after having this deemed un-PC, the administration and students finally agreed their sports teams would be known as the (singular) Cardinal, in reference to the color which had been adopted as the official one of the school.

The tree is unnamed, and as such, is referred to as either "the tree," or "the stanford tree."

This is of course like the Harvard Crimson. It is never plural, only "Crimson."

For the record, the blue on the uniforms at UCLA is called "Powder Keg Blue." The school official color is "UCLA blue."

Alicantekid, are you going to give your full on support to Bruin football? Being from LA, did you have a previous preference?

What about once a year when UCI and UCLA play in basketball? What will you do? haha.
