Since It has Already Been Done...

I’ve already appled to the UC system, but I was wondering if I could perhaps receive a quick estimate on my “chances” as well. I also have some questions at the end. Here are my stats as of now (I am planning on taking the ACT one last time.)

If this counts as anything, I am in the honors program at my school which counts as a “specialized curriculum”.

1 Good Essay

A couple of questions.

What are my chances?

I, due to me being extremely sleep deprived during the time of submitting or having heard wrong from a classmate, accidentally submitted my SAT II Math II score (my worst), in addition to my other scores. I understand they take the 2 highest scores, but even having that 580 on there is an eyesore. Will this negatively affect my application? Should I/Can I attempt to have that score removed from my application?

How high of an ACT score would I have to get to have any noticeably better chances for my admission.

Thank you very much.

In top 10% of class if that helps.

bring up my post please.

Hi Kenzen,

UCB: Reach
Compared to other applicants, your GPA and SAT scores will make this a bit tough to get into. Also, other applicants may have stronger extracurriculars.

UCLA/UCSD: Slight Reach
Compared to other applicants, your GPA and SAT scores will be slightly lower. Your SAT II scores could also use a bit of a boost too; additionally your extracurriculars will not exactly make you stand out.

UCD: Match
You stand a pretty good chance of admission due to your fairly high GPA and SAT score. However, slightly higher SAT II scores would have helped.

UCI: Safe Match/Match
Your high GPA and high SAT scores will give you a great chance of admission.

UCSC: Match/Safety
The above says it all; you have a high GPA and good SAT scores. You stand an excellent chance of admission.

Good luck!!!

Thank you very much gplayer745. That reply was informative and exactly what I was looking for :)
