Since When Does the SAT Have 6 ?'s on Literary Terms?

I was in shock.
Every CR section had at least 1.

yeah!! what was the term that started with an "a" or something on the c.r. (also had another term which started with a "c" which I couldnt recognize?

and what was the answer to that..

I noticed it but all the terms were like, basic fairly easy ones.

anachronism
it was the answer (damnit)

anachronism was the answer? NOOOOO

:DDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I got that right. Because painting a watch on someone from the 18th century would be putting something that didn't exist yet into a portrayal of the time. Anachronism!

that was one of the few wrods that i crammed in the night before haha
the c word was conundrum which i have no idea what it means

Yep, it was anachronism. I remembered it from my vocab book last year rofl

Yeah, I knew it from an AP english class. I was really surprised though- I don't think I've ever seen one before

I put anachronism because I remember chrono as time (THANKS CHRONO TRIGGER!), and because none of the other ones really matched it. I thought about allegory for a second haha.

anachronism affirmative.

The watch one had no alternatives....

The watch was no metaphor, no allegory... The rest didn't make sense.

Though I sincerely thought about whether anachronism is right... after all they DID have watches in the 18th century?

a conundrum is a puzzle
anachronism is something that doesn't fit in a particular time frame

i remember the other choices as symbol, allegory, metaphor...

thequestionmark, so did I! I knew right away that it was anachronism, but then I stopped and was just like, "Wait...when were watches invented?!"

Well, watches WERE a part of that time frame. (just confirmed)

I did put anachronism but also had to think hard whether or not it wasn't conundrum...

Point being: ****ty question.

Yes, but not *wrist*watches.

Yes, but not wristwatches.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good point, quite true. But you shouldn't have to know that too take the READING section of the test...
Come on!!! I said symbol.... cause its like a symbol of his changes... ugh. Another one wrong. Stupid CR :(
yes, i got the anachronistic one right!
but if i had know there were so many questions on literary terms, i would have actually studied them
