Single Choice Early Action or Early Action

I’m considering applying to very competitive schools early action. I’m currently looking at University of Chicago, Georgetown, Princeton, and Yale. So my question is whether or not it is better to chose either Yale or Princeton to apply to Single Choice Early Action or apply to Georgetown and University of Chicago early action. Essentially, would there be a benefit to doing it in a specific way? Thanks in advance.

No, there is no benefit to doing SCEA/EA for top schools. Yes, there is a benefit if you are applying for safeties, as you would procure a guarantee to attend colleges in reach in case you get waitlisted/rejected from the Ivy League.

There is basically no benefit in applying EA other than you get your decisions earlier.
There’s benefit in getting your decisions earlier as it can change your admissions strategy. Let’s say you get accepted to Harvard early, then you won’t have to mail the apps for your safety schools.
Apply early if you think that your grades/test scores are going to be as good as they’re about to get.

I have read that admissions at Yale and Princeton under single choice early action can be higher than during the regular decision. Is this is true? If so, I would assume it’d be better than to to apply there than to Georgetown where acceptance rates are the same for EA and RD. So, essentially, is it easier to get into Yale or Princeton Early action?

ED or RD, there is no ease. You will only get it early if you participate in the ED. That’s it.
