Is there any difference of the decision envelopes in terms of its size? (Between that of acceptance mail and that of rejection)

Acceptance packages tend to be bulky, and rejection letters are thin because it’s usually just the letter.

Thank you for your answer!

I hope it will be a bulky one.

But don’t be instantly disappointed if you see a thin letter. There are plenty of colleges that only send a single piece of paper about getting accepted, and then send you a bulky package of forms later on.

Are there any schools left that send only snail-mail notitifications? Every college I’m aware of, if they send letters at all, sends them as a follow-up. The applicants these days almost always find out their results on-line first.

Swarthmore was old school this past spring, with only snail mail.

My D got 2 by snail mail so far and one of them was a thin letter and it was an acceptance. That was UVM. So you just never know, but I think in most cases acceptances come in big packages.

honestly it depends on the school but 9 out of 10 of my acceptances were in a big envelope and about half of them said congratulations on the front of it.
