SJSU vs UCM vs UCR vs UCSC

Hi,
I’ve gotten into SJSU for Aerospace Engineering and UC Merced for Mechanical Engineering. I’ve also been waitlisted at UCR and UCSC(both for electrical engineering). If I choose SJSU, I will most likely switch to Electrical Engineering. Also, I will most likely not choose UC Merced, so I have chosen SJSU at this point. So I am now extremely confused. Assuming I get off the waitlist for both the UCs, which is the best college of the 3 for double E?

Assume that you wont get off of the waitlists.
Most engineering majors, at the UC’s are impacted.
Learn to love SJSU.

Agree with @aunt_bea that the 2 waitlisted schools should not be considered in your decision. SJSU all the way and even if you get off the waitlist, SJSU has a very respectable EE program and the location offers great internship/job opportunities. SJSU’s EE program is ABET accredited so you have the assurance that their curriculum meets all the necessary standards.

Be sure to check the change of major policies.

I wouldn’t be so quick to rule out UCM without a visit.

Walking the campus and talking to current students is the best way to get a sense of the student experience.

Congrats and good luck!
