<p>My daughter has expressed some interest in Skidmore. From what I've heard about and seen, it seems like a good school. One thing that I was wondering about is how strong is the English Lit./Creative Writing program at Skidmore. Are there any students/parents that can comment on this? Thanks.</p>
<p>The english department is one of the strongest and most popular at skidmore. It is a great program and there are some fabulous teachers. All of the teachers I have had thus far have been amazing and extremely helpful and accessible.</p>
<p>Thank you. I had a feeling that the English department was strong here, given that over the summer there was seemed to be an impressive list of writers doing readings at Skidmore. I'm aware of the readings because D participated in the CTY session on the campus. While she wasn't too crazy about the CTY program, she was really impressed with Skidmore, itself, as well as the Skidmore students she happened to encounter while there.</p>
