skipping Modern Biology, 03-121?

I got a 5 on the ap bio exam, and I'm certain I can pass the extra bio placement exam cmu just sent me. Which means I can skip Modern Biology, 03-121. To any current MCS students, is this a good idea? I really want off at a head-start. Btw, what would be after bio 03-121?
thanks !

There’s really no point in taking Modern Biology if you did well and can pass the placement exam easily. I skipped and didn’t really matter. There is really no class after Modern Biology 1, as there is no 2. But then the classes you take from then on depends on what major you are. But for the most part, the classes that require Modern Biology as a prerequisite are 200 level classes.

Thank you!
just one more thing, are there alot of people who do this as freshmen?

I took the Bio exam and got 300/400-- a depressing score bc im majoring in bio and thought i would do better :frowning:
I guess its decent considering its been a year since i took bio and all… anyway im likely to pass modern biology with 300. Does anybody know what we take after modern bio? I think its our choice depending on what concentrations we go into
