Skull and Bones why Yale essay

Yes, I wrote my Why Yale about skull and bones. Given that my other essays are stellar according to a Princeton AO (showed him after I submitted) and that I have a strong profile, how badly is this going to hurt me?

Who could possibly know? nobody has seen the essay. And, it’s too late to do anything about it now, so what’s the point of asking? Go do something useful until results day.

If you thought it might hurt you, why did you pick that topic to write about?

I didn’t think it would hurt me at the time but now I feel like it will. The people I had edit my essay before I submitted didn’t really know what skull and bones was so they didn’t say anything but after talking to others who know what it is they said it was not a good idea. Lol maybe this will help me because they know for a fact I didn’t use a consultant because no-one would let me right this lmao.

If you’re talking about the video game, I don’t think it’ll hurt if you focus on Yale and paint yourself in a positive, mature way. Colleges must get plenty of video game essays, but from less qualified applicants than you, so they might review your application less seriously unless you give them reason not to.

Whoops my bad, I’d never heard of it. Was it centric to your whole essay? Then risky. If not, you’re fine.
