for those who go to yale, what have your experiences been w/skull and bones?
is it really hush-hush or is it talked about frequently on campus?
heard any weird noises coming from their headquarters? :-P
just wondering, haha.

you don't hear anything about secret societies. they're not a big deal. you'll see their tombs every day (i walk past scroll and key, book and snake and skull and bones for different classes), but really, they're all hype outside of campus.

One out of every seven (or so) seniors is in a society... if you want to do it, it's something to enjoy, but it's not really a huge thing. Heck, I usually just forget about 'em - they blend into the scenery pretty well.

read up on alexandra robbins' book if you want to find out more about it. personally, in a place where joining an a cappella group is more intense than final exams, the allure of a secret society is more everyday than intriguing.

This is a really retarded question, but is there such a thing as the Life and Death Brigade? It was in a Gilmore Girls episode....I was just wondering if it really exists.

no, there is no such thing (as far as i know)...there's other things like the yale society for the exploration for campus secrets...i love how gilmore girls portrays yale. it's not really how it is...although there are some similarities.

could you tell us in what way yale is similar to rory's yale? And what the differences are? I'm a huge Gilmore Girls fan and I love the fact that it takes place at Yale, like there's a little piece of Yale here in thah Netherlands that I can watch every week (btw, the last season isn't broadcast here yet) I hope it's even better in real life...
