so long story short, i learned a few semesters ago that we can retake college courses.
Anyway, fast forward 2 semesters and this is totally taking a toll on me. Whenever I miss out on the chance of getting an A i totally give up and tell myself that i can just retake the course. I’ve lost that fear of that “one chance” deal, which was my main drive. (that “I only get one chance to be successful, so i better put my all in this one shot”)
any tips? any fears that you guys have that keep you motivated?
Sure, the fear that you and/or your parents will have to pay for extra semesters of college to finish.
That’s a dangerous approach to take for many avenues in your life. In the future, if u have less than an A-grade marital life, are u going to give up, divorce, and start all over, too?
Retaking extra courses mean taking longer to finish and paying more money. I mean, sure, bomb all your classes, but who wants to finish a Bachelor’s in 9 years?
If you are planning on medical school, you have to include ALL your courses - no matter what your college’s policy on retakes is. Your GPA will be in the gutter with your current strategy and you would almost certainly not get accepted to any US MD schools.
I assume there is a limit on either how many courses you can retake or how many years you want to spend in school. Taking a class over again isn’t that fun. It if isn’t fun the first time, it doesn’t get any more enjoyable the second time.
