I know that my math is on the low side and that my reading is pretty good. It was my first time taking it and I'm pretty happy with my first time scores. I will be taking the ACT in a couple of months as well as retaking the SAT. My question is should I send these scores for now? My GPA slipped a little the first semester to a 3.0 and brought me to a 72/182 class ranking, but I'm improving in all of my classes. As for leadership, athletics, and service, I should be ok for SLS as I am the President of a school club, hold membership in NHS, participated in a Summer Youth Academy our town's mayor held, participate actively in my church (where I hold positions of responsibility), and I'm a football varsity letter winner. My only concern right now for SLS is sending in my sorta low GPA and class rank. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't get in, but they confirmed me as a candidate? Do they do this for all that apply to the SS or is this reserved for those that they feel are actually qualified?

In general to be academically qualified you need to be at least at the 550 SAT Math range. Prep for and take the SAT again. Try taking the ACT as well.
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I will be taking the ACT in March I believe and I will be retaking the SAT. I didn't realize until the second math section that we could use the test booklet as scrap paper. I'm sure my scores will improve in all categories as I progress through my junior year and into senior year if need be. My GPA is also coming up this quarter, so just gotta keep at it all. Thanks again.
