As far as myself, I am a junior aspiring to be a marketing major. I have a 3.4 cumulative GPA, I am the Captain of Graphic Design on the Advertising Team member for Terp Thon, and I am the Community Leader of Philanthropy for CHAARG. For work experience, I am a marketing assistant for the UMD Career Center (all the posters on campus related to the Career Center are my designs). Over the past summer I was the Marketing Liaison for a start-up company in DC. At my previous institution, I was a marketing assistant for the career center there. I have also worked as a volunteer graphic designer for a professional women’s soccer club. Next semester, I will be the Marketing and Development intern for the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Program.
I am really hoping that my experience and extracurriculars will help out my lower GPA.
