so this year’s question is basically, which movie would you like to star in and why.
they say there’s no hidden agenda, but it seems like there is,
how should i write this essay? should i basically fangirl about the movie and kind of talk about why the fictitious adventure is something I’d love? Or should i write it in the perspective of an actor, and why it would be challenging for me to act in a movie like the matrix?
I honestly don’t think there is a hidden agenda. The supplement from the last two years was to share something that made you laugh.
I’m guessing they want to see further evidence of your writing skills, see that you are actually interested in Smith enough to take the time to write a supplement, and have something entertaining for them to read during the application reading process (can you imagine having to read all those common app essays??).
So write about whatever you like. Just make it quality writing that is true to you. Good luck!
Agree with @Springbird, I don’t think there’s a hidden agenda. They want to see how well you express yourself in writing. They want to know about YOU. Be yourself, and write it well.
I am actually excited to write mine, but it took me a few weeks to figure out what to do it on. It’s weird but I discovered what I was going to write about while staring into my cat’s eyes…so maybe try that. Dogs probably work, too.
