Not sure about the policies for medical marijuana, but there is supposed to be zero smoking in the residential halls/buildings. I had friends last year who got caught smoking weed last year in the dorms and they just got written up by their CA/RA. One write up basically means nothing, but you can lose your housing or have to attend some hearing with judicial affairs if you get 3 or more. Also I think it depends on WHO catches you. If it’s campus police, then you will probably get reported.

if you get caught with bud can’t you just go to drug abuse classes and stuff to get your federal aid back?

Weed enthusiast here, too.
I guess I’ll probably have to smoke off campus at UC Davis. They’re pretty strict about cigarettes, let alone bud.

The marijuana legalization only applies to those over 21. Those of us who are young transfers get the short end of the stick, unfortunately.

yeah… im a young transfer too still 18 but i feel like things will be much more lax

My friend ended up getting kicked out of the dorms for getting caught with a pipe and some bud in his room. Im sure there are varying degrees of consequences of getting caught with nug, it just depends.

@Darkstorn Yay, a fellow Aggie! What? Is Davis really that strict about smoking?

@enchanted-
Supposedly. I know a chick who’s currently attending and she says that smoking on campus can warrant a fine.

I can definitely go 6 months without smoking pot, but I’d like to kick back and relax a little at some point during my college career.
