I’m waiting for a decision too. I applied EA in Oct and got deferred in Dec. I wrote a letter, sent in mid year report and went to visit in person and met face to face with my admissions counsler. SMU is my top choice so I’m anxious for the decisions to come out. Good luck to you guys!
Does anyone know if they send an email before they post decisions to the portal?
They actually send the email out after posting to the portal, so you’re more likely to find out sooner by updating the portal!
if you were deferred, your decision will most likely come out in the late afternoon/evening between the 8th and 11th, so next week:)

No nothing since December deferral
Have not heard anything either yet. Does anyone know if it will come out at 7 pm central time since that is usually the time they release at?

Does SMU have a day of the week they normally release decisions or varies year to year?
In December, I remember getting an email stating that decisions would be coming out that day and at 7 pm central time. But I haven’t gotten an email from them today, do you know if they state the same thing for regular decision?
In December, they released EA on a thursday. But I don’t know if they always release on thursday’s
I would assume that they would do the same for RD decisions as well. Hopefully we hear in the next few days

Thoughts on decisions being released tonight? They may be a little behind due to the storm a few weeks ago.
Are we talking about RD or EDII?
RD and deferrals from EA/ED. EDII came out on Feb. 10.
@TXjennz4 I saw that Pre-Law Scholars has come out within a week of RD notifications. I hadn’t heard of that program but it looks cool. 40 incoming students (plus some talented students already enrolled) who get SMU Law mentoring and some other programming in addition to admittance to SMU Law when maintaining high enough grades. It’s a guaranteed law school admittance for strong SMU undergrads.
