So... How about the women?

Does Cornell have any hotties????

Uh… yeah, probably.

Srsly?

But, while we’re on the topic, any hot guys?

Definitely…I have visited

I always wanted to create this thread :D

Everything you wanted to know about Cornell, but afraid to ask?

I took my kid’s new friends out to eat when I visited in fall. I thought they were fairly good looking. I posted before, Miss Maryland goes to Cornell. There are 13k UGs there. What’s the chance of having good looking people?

You’ll fine plenty of good looking people especially at elite universities ;)

LOL.

But um, yeah, I get the general impression that the girls are, in general, very attractive, but that the guys…

eeek

oh thanks god! I keep hearing that Cornell and Harvard are considered the ugly ivies

I don’t think it matters if people are good looking or not. Eventually, you might even like them even if they aren’t as that good looking.

Ohhh, so the guys are not…easy upon the eye?

if about half the undergrads are men, that’s about 6500 men ages 18-22 we’re talking about. there are plenty of conventionally attractive guys, plus plenty of guys with every kind of alternative style.

Am I the only one who (not just necessarily if I end up a Cornell, any top school) kind of wants to meet a slightly dorky guy and fall in love?

As was just stated^, with that many guys on campus, there is undoubtedly plenty to choose from. I wouldn’t worry about it

@gibbons
Nope. You’re not…

What if…what if I meet someone like Spencer from Criminal Minds?
sigh ^▁^ So random. LOL

Even coming from a parent, this is the best thread I’ve read on cc. I’ve been so stressed now that the BIG DAY is almost here, I needed something to laugh about!

@Alexisss not really, tbh. LOL. I feel bad saying that, but yeah, not really. eeek.

Visited quite a few times, currently accepted on a likely letter and well-acquainted with the University/kind of set on going.

Girls-- impressive, many beauties, stunning, generally attractive and “fit” air. Stylish, sometimes hipster, but gender stereotypes in this particular culture allow for women to get away with being hipster moreso than men. A lot of the girls are often overdone but there are shining stars in nearly every environment.
Guys-- Ones I’ve seen, generally, stick out to me as terribly awkward and/or hippie. Long, alternative beards on a few of them (not a lot but moreso than what you’d see walking down the street) and all on some if they don’t have that stereotypically bookish and unkempt look. Obviously, there are exceptions! But those sum up the guys that have “stuck out” to me. Haven’t seen any jocks, but I see some older entrepeneur-looking guys well-dressed in Collegetown sometimes. If I had to generalize, most men at Cornell that I’ve seen have an “up studying all night” look. Simple throw-on, tired eyes, etc.

This is just my biased opinion, don’t take me seriously or pay me any mind. I don’t care about the looks or people (it’s gigantic and most encounters of mine have been fleeting), I just love Cornell. Overall, regardless of looks, everyone in Ithaca is actually very very nice and has great manners/a progressive sense of mind and expression. It is an attractive campus in terms of the people, and you’ll quickly come to find it isn’t about the looks. Many people whiz by you and keep to themselves, but you’ll notice it’s a serene yet active environment-- very unique combination.
