so today in class, i clicked on a URL that seemed okay, but instead it was a shock site. a really nasty one. plus sound was on and the speakers yelled out that i was viewing a really nasty site - right in front of everyone. and the teacher saw it, and is now sending me to detention for bad behavior. i might even get suspended. help, how do i explain myself???

Just tell the admins exactly what happened. I was landed in a similar situation freshman year, except I directed my teacher to my school’s wikipedia site, were someone had uploaded rather graphic photos. My teacher was using the computer projector onto the main board, so the entire class got a rather disturbing show.
Just explain that it was an accident, maybe write an apology letter to your teacher.

But I must ask the question: Doesn’t your school have a content blocker? If it does, how did the site get through?? Weird.

^ Maybe it only blocks the more well-known ones… sites like sourmath.com and mylazysundays seem quite inconspicuous at first glance, which is why they may not have been blocked.

They have detention at Caltech?

I thought he went to the University of Washington. And fizix went to Caltech.

And I’m not sure. Just tell the truth. Not much else you can do really.

He’s in both facebook networks. I was confuzzled

wow i see, did the class laugh?

===

anyways it’s just a hypothetical situation i always worried about, lol.

well don’t just sit and gape! You know it was an accident so tell the teacher without any hesitation. Make it fast because if you wait longer it’ll seems suspicious.

I remember my brother was accused of stealing a milk carton (lame). He just sat and stared while in the principle’s office. -___-

In middle school someone in my class did a google image search for Nok at the back of the room. The Nok were an African tribe or something that we were studying. The search turned up a naked woman. The teacher thought it was funny.
