you said this happened during your senior year and most ED/EA schools dont get those grades so they wont see that you kept your grades up most likely

regular decision, they will see it and obviously it wont hurt you having good grades haha but idk how much it will help your case but surely wont harm you

errmm… not only are you expected to keep those grades up to make up for the suspension but thinking you could somehow “let the suspension get the best of you in terms of grades” when in fact it’s a legitimate punishment, and that it’d somehow “get you props”… I’m kind of speechless at the reasoning.
Also, never ever let yourself “be in the presence of alcohol” this year, on school property or away from it. Another suspension or demerit or any official record for underage drinking would kill any chance you’d have at a selective school.
Now, as has been stated before, you’ve given a legitimate reason to discard your application to all schools with admission rates below 20%. Apply to one or two, you never know, but forget your reaches and focus on establishing a new college list. Large state schools with numerical admissions will overlook your indiscretion but your current list doesn’t look realistic. Also, forget all schools that have decided to crack down on underage drinking (ex: Denison).
Still, it’s better than for other reasons like vandalism or violence, but it’s still a 5-day suspension so we can assume egregious behavior or attitude and colleges will know that.
