To anyone who reads this or can help, thank you.

Just last week I was suspended for 5 days from school on account of coming to school under the influence of drugs (Marijuana to be specific). I was suspended and they allowed me to "buy back" some of my suspension days by going to a program. This was my first time using marijuana and I feel really horrible for what I had done. Now, on to my question: Will this suspension ruin or alter my chances of getting into college? I do not have a criminal record or anything of the sort. Thanks for your help!

And if it matters, my school of choice would be Case Western Reserve

I won’t “ruin your chances” per se, but it will rise some questions with adcoms. You might want to ask your counselor to help you get things sorted out.

Depends on how and if they report it. My daughters school didn’t report it of the kid got into no more trouble, went thought a program, Etc. ask your counselor. It may be just fine.

just wondering…why would you try marijuana for the first time before school? seems like a stressful environment. I’m not trying to be condescending, it just is surprising that your first time would be during school hours.
