@intparent It is not unrealistic to get a great score on the first try, it is not an odds game. If OP is able to study and perform well, he will do well.
Higher unusual, though.
You are taking math and physics SAT2. Are those the subjects you may want to major in?
It is tough. You are going to need a full tuition and living expenses and there aren’t that many for international students.
Can we knew more about what you are interested in studying and any special skills you have that would make you stand out from the other students? Are you skilled in any sports? Have you been volunteering in your community? In essence, you will need to market yourself beyond whatever academic ability you have.
About my interests, I intend to major in Aerospace Engineering, although I’m considering Applied Physics too, for this reasons I consider Math and Physics the best subects to take on SATII, that and the fact that I love physics and I’m good at it.
About markeitng myself, I’m planning not only to show myself as an extremely driven individual (there’s a reason I get up in the mornings, and being an engineer is part of that goal) but also have several projects that I hope will make me more attractive to colleges, I’m starting a rock band, developing a videogame and plan to work on building a drone using 3D printed components and a Raspberry Pi/Arduino. In addition I’m writing a novel but I doubt it’ll be finished in half a year, specially with so much mroe going on.
Very helpful to know the kind of engineering you are interested in.
This may be your safety if you can score as well as you hope to: https://www.uah.edu/admissions/undergraduate/financial-aid/scholarships

The MAE department is located at the easternmost corner of one of the biggest research parks in the country, Cummings Research Park. Surrounded by high-tech aerospace companies, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and the Army’s Redstone Arsenal, our graduates are sometimes offered jobs before they even graduate. This situation is unique around the country and MAE graduates are very fortunate to have made the decision to join MAE and UAH. Because of this, our enrollment has doubled in eight years and MAE is the largest major on campus.
The question I am left with - will it be difficult to get internships as a non US citizen?
St Louis University has a Madrid campus. Their highest scholarship is full tuition but it is for 4 years on the Madrid campus.

They also have a 3+1 program in aerospace engineering which is three years in Madrid and 1 in St Louis.

You should ask them how the financial aid would work for that if you were able to get the highest scholarship.
Thanks for the suggestion, soon as I get home I’ll read up on everything
UMass Lowell has merit scholarships so if you get a high enough sat score it’d be a good university to use as a ‘safety’. Roughly speaking all 4 universities to which you send scores on your first attempt of the sat should be safeties or universities you’re not too interested in.
All students need a second try, if only to see if they can score higher.
What scores are you getting on practice tests (EBR + M)?
You can already request information from UAH, UHOUSTON, UTD, UCF, FSU, UF.
Lowell has very few merit scholarships for international students. The Int’l Provost scholarship is very selective and the Int’l Academic Council scholarship is only for the top 5% of the class.
Yes but internationals can qualify for regular merit scholarships based on Sat scores.
@MYOS1634 Up untill now on practice tests I’ve gotten between 760 and 780 on the reading and wirting sections and 700 in the math section with one 630 I got in a practice test I did on a bad day.
I’d you hit 1450 you’d be able to apply to some automatic full tuition scholarships and some competitive ones.
Your English score is excellent! We, congratulations!
