So MCAT scores came out...

sheesh.. is the bio major at cornell that hard?

You, my friend, are awesome!

I think you have a great chance for UCSF, especially because you're in state and you have a high MCAT and GPA. You'll most likely get an interview, and all you gotta do is convince them that you're a good candidate, which isn't the easiest thing but if you practice you'll be fine.

It's not that the bio major courses are hard per se (except for genetics) but most bio majors tend to be premeds which makes it more difficult to get a high GPA. With another amazing semester like the one I had last semester I can drag my cum. GPA up to a 3.9 but genetics makes that unlikely.

for the prerequisite classes.. its 2 classes of bio, chem, orgo, and physics? or is it 1

like would be ap bio/ chem classes only count as 1 of those or since it is all year count as 2... im not planning on testing out... im just wondering the level of science you take for premed. I'm assuming that the level of science you take would be equivlanet of ap chem + another more advanced chem course, and the same for bio/physics/orgo

you should visit the career office. They have a binder of past years of who got into where with what ^_^ I remember looking at it, but not really UCSF (I was looking up a friend...yeah, i know that's bad :( but all i knew was that she got a 27, and got into a particular med school, and I knew where she is from. i just wanted to see if she put herself disadvantaged, but she didn't....sorry this was a tangent).
