...and what percent of graduates get accepted to medical school?

I've recently looked up these numbers and have actually printed out a PDF of it, but I can't find the PDF but I've still memorized several things.

However, the PDF only covered the students who responded to the pre-med survey, so it doesn't take into account those who did not resopnd.

The overall percentage was ~76% for 2005 (according to the survey).

From what I saw on the chart, a high GPA is much much much more important than high MCAT.

9/10 applicants who had a 3.7+ GPA got accepted into some med school, even if their MCATs were 25-29. (I think 26 is national average)

On the other end of the spectrum, of those who had a GPA of ~3.0 and MCAT 35+, almost NONE got into med school.

Another thing, those who had higher GPAs also tended to have higher MCATs (duh, but o well)

Here was basically what I thought were "cutoffs" I guess. Anything lower than a 3.3 GPA yielded a low chance into med school, maybe 14% or less no matter your MCAT.

3.7 GPA or above almost guaranteed med school, even if your MCAT was average.

a 3.5 and a high MCAT also was pretty effective into getting in med school, but not quite as much as 3.7+ GPA

Hope that helps
