He just got his final Ivy League rejection (off of a wait list). We immediately hugged and jumped up and down while in an embrace with shrieks of joy.
Had a very big chuckle over it.
Was honestly one of those moments.
Actually happened.
Very cool. I’m sure he’ll do great wherever he attends. Best of luck!
Sounds like your son has a great perspective and limitless opportunities given his intellect, tenacity and great role models. This all comes through in your posts so I can only imagine how impressive he is in person.
Your pride in him and friendship are motivational. Congratulations and all the best from those of us that have followed your journey!!
Love this! My D high five-d me when she was rejected from Hopkins ; )
You should be jumping for joy too, since you saved $200,000 compared to a state school!
I wish more kids had this type of perspective. It’s a game and not about you (or him). It’s just that much more healthier.
We did the same thing when our son was rejected by Dartmouth. We didn’t like the campus or the track coach, so it was kind of a relief!
We hugged and jumped with joy when our kid earned the opportunity to pay over $300K during 4 years by getting into Stanford. What was I thinking? lol
