So really...

Just relax. Breathe. And realize that you're already ahead of your peers as far as math goes. BC Calculus!

Seriously, having that much stress/pressure on yourself can only end badly.

You're doing fine. But ah, people around here don't want to be made to feel like they're slackers.

Okay, it's official, I'm trying out for Varsity golf. :) And I met the State superintendent today. (You know... I think I'm understand what you're talking about now.) But if the picture of her and I makes the front of the newspaper, I'll post the link.

LOL, No one of CC is a slacker...

Okay... gosh... I've noticed everyone as been more adversarial... even around where I live... people seem nice as long as they feel above you... but now people refuse to talk to me when they learn I'm in pre-cal... but I'm honestly asking questions I feel I need to ask. (Like, how hard calculus actually is... and I don't ask school related questions that often.)

Yes, I think you're right on track to becoming an overachiever that no one actually likes. :o
Seriously, ditch one of your online courses and make some friends. No offense, but you're just a freshman. You don't have to worry about this yet, so don't.

But should I just stop asking questions, because I'm not going to stop being successful to make others feel good.

Um, I have friends. :)

Well, if I take the hardest courses I can, and do well in them I think I can go a lot further than waiting. What I have now is managable... it wasn't earlier this year... but it is now.

Don't bite the freshman!

LOL
Special CC rule 1:
Don't feed the trolls.
Special CC rule 2:
Don't bite the freshman.
Special CC rule 3:
Under no circumstance feed the freshman to the trolls.

Just make sure that your mental sanity is in check.
Do not put so much self on your pressure to do more than you can fit on your plate.

No ivy league school/pier one school/etc is worth stressing yourself out past your max. There is a balance that one learns (or should at least) in high school where you are happy, but successful in challenging yourself.

You're doing fine!
And I think freshman year is absolutely not too early to start thinking about colleges. Maybe what'll distinguish you from other applicants is that you consistently followed through on your ECs/courseload starting from freshman year, rather than taking on a whole bunch of stuff junior year- apparently just for admissions! :P

Edit: Why doesn't the smiley show up? Grr.

your school must have a crap math department if your taking all of this math online.

Not enough common sense to realize you're on the right track

Book smart only people = fail

Our math "department" is all of one person. Only two math classes are being taught this year, and I've already had the equivalent of both.

Hey well, seeing as now one around where I live goes to somewhere like Harvard, how am I supposed to know?

Agreed. Doing all that work is gonna end you at state college, if you know what I mean.

Do you mean to say that I will take on too much, fail, and then end up at a state college?

You know what you're capable of. I'm a freshman too, I have an easier courseload and I'm confident that I can get into a school of my choice. I think you're taking some of these comments too seriously. It's easy to get stressed out when one is accomplishing as much as you are and that's what a lot of people here are trying to tell you.

What's your courseload?

find something that makes YOU happy.
something you can write about and be passionate about in your college essays.

"Agreed. Doing all that work is gonna end you at state college, if you know what I mean."

Thats complete bull.

Your "resume" would get you into much better than state.

This is silly.
And I'm in Precalc too, but I'm regretting it :P Next year I'll be stuck in SL Calc and will probably have to spend tons of time on it and not leave enough time to do the fun stuff, like English and History :(
But you're a math person! I don't see how you're overstretching yourself at all. I know freshmen who are in Calc right now, and sophomores who skipped a grade who are in HL Calc. As long as it's at your level of ability, it's the right level.

No, I was just playing around w/ you :P
