So what are everyone's thoughts on the Alcohol ban at the Coliseum?

think it's a good idea? bad? Will it affect you much?

Time to invest in "Pocket Shots" (for anyone who has tailgated on campus before).

banning alcohol at college football games? how could that be a good idea? this dry campus stuff needs to stop. i dont really drink, but let those who want to. as long as its not hurting anyone whats the problem?

well, last season I had no problems sneaking in 3-4 beers to each game, so I dont think its really going to affect much of anything.

Besides, those $7 beers were burning holes in my pockets.

What The Blood? no way, this is the frist time im hearing this. where did this come from? that cant be for real, can it? no alcohol at ball games would blow.

Now everyone is either just going to sneak more in or they are going to get completely wasted before the game, and then the student entrance will be even crazier than before. Luckily I get to go in early, so I don't have to worry about that. :) And also luckily, I don't like beer!

hahahaa definitely gonna get completely wasted before the game....

How do you get to go in early, Chicka?

Is it hard to get trashed before walking over to the game?

sucks!!!!!!!!!

I'm in Trojan Pride, themegastud.

Cubs- it's definitely not difficult to get trashed before the game.

I think its a great idea.

Bad idea, now you'll have record binge-drinkers stumbling into the stadium. From a business perspective, expect to see an increase in the price of everything else there, another negative.

"hahahaa definitely gonna get completely wasted before the game...."

typical..... I think so, but of course others are the exception like USChicka

Just get faded before the game. Problem solved.

It won't affect anything....I went smashed to every single game this year, and didn't pay any money for the beer at the colliseum because it just wasn't worth it. i personally will be more sad to see the margarita stands go away. Regardless, can you say flask? I've got two, one for both of my favorite men: Jack and Jose.

And besides....we were the only college in the Pac-10 that did it anyways....most games across the country are dry. It won't change anything at all, freshman....all I have to say is look forward to your first tailgate ;-)

Seriously - no one tailgates like us. Sure, our event venue may now be dry but let's not forget that many entire campuses are dry. Game day at USC on the other hand means a barbecue full of burgers in Alumni park with a cooler full of MGD's. Then you stumble en masse across the street, grabbing a ghetto dog (hot dog wrapped in bacon) on the way, to watch yet another 30+ victory.

... It almost brings a tear to my eye.

Game day is amaaaazing. I love just walking through the completely packed campus, everyone wearing cardinal and gold and having a good time. There's nothing like it.

I've never had a ghetto dog, though! They always smell soooo good.

chicka, whats Trojan Pride?

It's a org on campus that I think is a great idea, but is slowly dying because no one knows about it. So everyone should join next year, because I'm VP! Basically, the only thing we do is go early to every home game and put out pom poms in the student section, and then we get to sit in the front row on the 50 yardline. Not too shabby, I'd say. We also help at a few other events on campus that promote school spirit (the UCLA rally, an awards ceremony to recognize spirited orgs and students on campus, etc). We also go to any other sporting events that we feel like. So everyone join- NOW!

I thought that's what trojan knights/helenes did?
