So...what was your movie line?

Mine:

"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

-Kevin Spacey as Verbal Kint in The Usual Suspects

Yes, it is a good quote, but how many times have you heard it before?

"What we do in life echoes in eternity" - Maximus, Gladiator

I don't understand what you mean by that. Does having heard the quote before make a difference?

It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

-Nigel Tufnel, This is Spinal Tap

"Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!"

-Leonidus, The 300

I chose the most obvious quote ever from American Beauty. I wish I'd done something funny...

That question really bugged me. I don't watch movies and start thinking, "Hey, that'll be my favorite movie quote from now on!"

Oh well, at least I wasn't too desperate to quote Borat haha.

"Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around every once in a while, you might miss it."
Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Borat quotes are too controversial, same with Matrix.

My momma always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get

Forrest Gump (duh~!)

I was going to put that ^.

Why are you guys so afraid to put controversial quotes?

I put a ludicrously offensive website as my favorite >_>

i thought about the "box of chocolates" quote but decided against it because i thought it might be trite. i like it though!!

i did "toto, i'm afraid we're not in kansas anymore"... boring shmoring

So if someone puts "Guns. Lots of Guns." as their favorite quote from the Matrix, no one will be reminded of the VA-tech incident?

At admissions guy who visited my school said the most common quote is the forest gump one...

THIS IS SPARTA

-Leonidas, 300

"Ain't Nuthin' But A Peanut"
-Ronnie Coleman: The Cost of Redemption

Oooh the Ferris Bueller one is good!

"I put a ludicrously offensive website as my favorite >_>"

2 Girls 1 Cup? J/p...

My quote is a maxim that I'd prefer not to share online. [It's nice, but I don't want it stolen.]
Problems:
i It is from one of the very few movies I have ever seen at all.
ii I usually discourage the use of most maxims.
Both i and ii are points that come out in my application. Will I be seen as inconsistent, or sophisticated?
