So where's your school's valedictorian heading to this year?

This year my school's val is going to Harvey Mudd on the Mudd Scholarship (he was pretty big on LACs and UC Berkeley was the only university he applied to.)

And sal is going to Cornell.

You?

Our valedictorian is going to Cal
and our Sal is going to UC irvine instead of going to Cal.
Our runners up are UCSD and UCLA

Wasn’t there a big thread on this already?

I’m Valedictorian and I’m going to Yale, our Salutatorian is going to UCLA.

v: harvard

I think the Val is going to harvard and the salutarian is going to cornell

Our rival school has there
V: harvard
S: MIT

pwned us :P

I’m going to UCLA and so is the salutatorian.

IIRC that’s a $40,000 scholarship at a school that costs $200,000+. It’s also pretty easy to qualify for (unless I’m thinking of the wrong scholarship). It’s a nice supplemtary chunk of change, but it’s not like a full ride or anything.

I’m currently a junior. The senior class’s Val is headed to Wharton; the sal is headed to Duke. The #3 is off to JHU; two others from the top 10 are going to Cornell. A bunch of athletes and blacks are going to Cornell and UPenn.

Valedictorian - Chose Tufts over Brown
Salulatorian - Princeton

Valedictorians- Stanford, Caltech, Cal, UCLA

Pinkstarcloud: At our school, a Latina (ranked 6th in the class) chose Columbia over HYP. Then again, she wants to do journalism, which makes sense.

I graduated as my high school’s valedictorian. Going to Haverford.

Hey there’s a girl in the senior class ranked 20th and she’s going to Dartmouth for journalism too.

Haha, it’s weird that I live near so many colleges
My dad practically lives ACROSS the street from haverford.
it has an awesome campus.

val- UCLA
sal- Cal

Val 1: Columbia
Val 2: Bowdoin
Val 3: Loyola (in Chicago, not MD)
Val 4: Georgetown

Since we always have a ton of vals, our sals don’t get that much attention. I know the sal is going to college with her twin sister (unlike val 4 whose twin left her2 years ago to go to boarding school) but I forget where and don’t feel like checking on FB.

I think this is worse than we normally do.

We don’t have vals, but the best schools that kids are going to from my Oregon school are:

Emory (1)
UCLA (1)
Berkeley (1)
Grinell (1)
Occidental (1 or 2)
Bennington (I think it’s highly ranked, I don’t know too much about LACs) (1)
SUNY- Geneso (1)
Seattle University (1)
RPI (1)

Other than that, most people are going to U of Oregon, Oregon State, and the local community college. There’s this one kid who was a NMF and he’s going to University of Idaho for pretty much free

Val is going to Notre Dame while Sal is going to the University of Washington. Other people in the top 40% of the class are going to Harvard, Columbia, Boston College, NYU (me), Occidental, Notre Dame, UC Berkeley and UC San Diego, to name a few.

V: Columbia
S1: Yale, but she’s Egyptian
S2: Brown

There’s few other kids at Brown, one was a legacy, a few others at Columbia, one at Harvard, a few at Dartmouth, three at Princeton and a lot of kids going to Cornell and Penn. Quite a few kids got Cornell GT.

our val is going to stanford, and our sal is going to harvard
