So Who Will Be Joining Me At UCI Next Year

is it too late to switch majors for uci? if it is, i might go to ucsb

i don't know. check the uci web site.

for ucsb, it was incredibly easy to change majors. the web site has instructions to e-mail this person with the details, and the next day my major was changed!

log in and go to the message center and there's a link where you can request a change of major.

Of course they DID try to pass off ICS as CE (see relevant thread), but I'm not that gullible...

The good thing about living here is that I'll just drive down and shout at them in person :)

I went to the Destination UCI event for NorCal and they said changing majors only takes a matter of seconds. Just log in myUCI, click the link and fill out the page. They also said no major was impacted and everyone can get into whatever major they choose right away except for Music and Dance. Music and Dance requires auditions.

Yeah I know about that, I submitted it and they sent me that reply that made no sense, not to mention they left my major unchanged.

Hopefully something will be resolved soon.

Hey rpvsurfer.... how is uci going for you? My son (also from RPV) is trying to decide between UCI and Cal Poly SLO. Are you happy with your decision?

i <3 UCI!!!
go anteaters!

gecko3359 whats his name i probably know him

rpvsurfer - which school: Peninsula or Palos Verdes?

I go to Peninsula

i'm about 95% sure i'm going to UCI (unless by some miracle i get into davis through appeal). i'm nervous about going there

took 3 days to change my major

mandieee - what are you nervous about? is it college in general, or something specific about uci?

i'm nervous because people keep warning me that it's a big commuter school and the social life is pretty dead. i'm from norcal so i wont be going home much on the weekends so i'm worried i'll just end up sitting alone & depressed in my dorm every weekend. i guess the other part is that i am nervous about leaving home which is normal i suppose, but i'd feel a lot more comfortable at davis because it's closer to home and i have a lot of friends going there. other than that i think everything about irvine is great. i'm sure i'll be fine

i'll be enjoying my weekends there too, maybe...

i will! well... lets see what my parents say about that.

I never leave UCI. Only for Thanksgiving, spring break, and Christmas.

Guys...remember me? At first I said I was probably gonna go to Irvine, but now it seems that I will most likely go to Davis...because Irvine is just too far. :(

ahah.. we're the exact opposite.... I was probable going to Davis (in fact, I seriously fell in love with it), but now I have to go to UCI because Davis is too far... )-:

Ehy, mandiee, if you ever feel depress or lonely at UCI, hop over to Middle Earth... and Casper and I'll show you around ... haha

LOL lazieeryceboi. I love Irvine so much! There are so many things to do there...At Davis, there is literally nothing. Why can't Davis and Irvine switch locations?! then it would work out for both you and me...

Go Aggies?
